Bobby Joe Jackson took the precedent set by former Falcon basketball greats a step further. From 1986 to 1989 Jackson ruled the hardwood.

He was selected Honorable Mention All-American in 1986-87, Third Team All-American in 1987-88 and Second Team All-American in 1988-1989 to become the most decorated basketball player in Falcon history to date. He was awarded the Falcon "Most Aggressive Award" in 1986-89 and the Falcon Leading Rebounder Award. He was selected to the All-District 27 All Conference Team from 1986-89 and was team captain from 1987-89. He was team MVP from 1987-89 and Conference MVP runner-up in the 1987-88 season and Conference MVP in 1988-89. He was selected as the District 27 Male Athlete of the Year in 1988-89.

After graduation he represented the University of Montevallo in the World Basketball League and set standards for all who follow and aspire to play for the Falcons of the University of Montevallo.
