2003 University of Montevallo Athletic Hall of Fame inductee Bethany Forslund was one of the best post players to wear a Falcon uniform. In her four years at UM, she was on teams that posted a record of .765 winning percentage (91-28), won two NAIA District 27 championships, and participated in back-to-back NAIA National Tournaments. A four-time NAIA All District 27 selection, Bethany still holds the school single-game record for blocked shots in a game (12) against Auburn-Montgomery in her freshman season, and is among the school's all-time leaders in several offensive categories. She held the all-time record for rebounding until 1993, when her record was eventually broken by fellow UM Hall of Fame member Sheena Bowling. Bethany is currently second all-time in field goals made (742) attempts (1,512), and now second in career blocked shots (327), a record she held until this past season. A 1993 graduate from UM in Education, Bethany currently resides in Prattville, Alabama.
