Judy Green was the head coach of the University of Montevallo volleyball team for 10 years, from 1986-to-1995. She led her Lady Falcon to 10 consecutive national tournament appearances, compiling an overall record of 396-74 over the 10-year span.

She coached 19 young women to All-American status, 15 young women to NAIA All-South Region honors, 38 young women to All-District 27 honors and had 28 young women named to the University of Montevallo's Deans List requiring a GPA of 3.5 or better. In 1993 after leading the Falcons to their best season ever and a 42-match win streak, she was awarded the Sington Award, the State of Alabama's most prestigious honor for outstanding achievement.

At the 1993 NAIA National Tournament she was picked by her peers around the nation as the Tachikara/American Volleyball Coaches Association National Coach of the Year, a first for Montevallo.

Long considered one of the top young coaches in the nation, Green has constantly developed and produced top talent in an area that has had to compete against the west coast. She is currently the head coach at the University of Alabama.
